Felted Easter Egg

001

I needlefelted this Easter egg quite some time ago but it was missing something. Lucky for me when Julie came over she told me it needed a Lady Bug. She was right! I’ve always loved the yellow/red combo.

Here’s a little better view of the lady bug. I have a purple egg felted and ready to decorate…and I’m going to follow Julie’s advice for that one too…you’ll see later! smile.

In other news: The kids don’t have school on Friday or Monday. Yippee!!! We can sleep in!!! I hope our weather holds a little longer, I love the sunshine. I think I’m going to run the wringer washer today. Why today you ask? Well look at this guy!

The middle child has been 4-wheeling in mud and I refuse to allow those clothes in my washer. (This is actually a during picture…he ends up much muddier than this) So he’s going to get a lesson on wringer-washing this afternoon so he can clean up after himself. lol. He’s also going to help me switch out the dryer in the house as ours has clunked out. We have a spare so it’s no big deal…just a lot of lifting and shuffling. Have I ever said how happy I am to have another set of muscles in the house? Hubbie is always at work…so it’s nice to have the middle child around! (Abby isn’t too strong and my youngest is just too young to be of much help with this sort of thing.)

Well, have a great weekend and a lovely Easter! (My youngest has his first communion this evening.) And, Happy Crafting!!!

My Abby wants to learn to needle felt. I told her maybe this summer you can give her a lesson or two. She found felted eggs in the Family Fun magazine and wanted to make them NOW!! Oh well, this summer is soon enough.
Love that D is helping with the laundry and muscle work. Very nice.
Take care my friend and have a blessed afternoon.

Adorable egg and the ladybug is the perfect finishing touch. Whoa... that's a lotta mud! I'm right with you on using another washer, either that or just let the mud dry and he wears them again next time he goes 4-wheeling. Guys probably see that much mud as a badge of honor. :)
